Research topic statements . Write a one-to-two page statement of the research topic that you have selected. This statement must include a works cited page. Sources of information used to discuss your topic should be cited in APA format. Provide a specific research question(s) that you wish to address in your forthcoming research proposal. This statement should briefly define your topic and explain why new research should be conducted on this area. Provide a brief but adequate description of the topic as well as relevant background information that is needed to assure that your audience has a basic understanding of the topic that you’ve selected. References must be written in APA formatting (APA formatting guidelines are available on Canvas).
